Swatch Time!: Kleancolor Metallic Collection!

Hello lovelies!

So I'm really excited about what I have for you guys today, it's a really fun (super pic-heavy!) post!
Today I'm going to be swatching a whole collection! This is only my third full collection I've swatched, so I'm excited!

This took me four hours to shoot, about two & a half hours to edit, and a full netflix-streamed season of Ink Master to get done. It was so fun! & No, that isn't sarcasm. it was sooo fun, and made me realize how much I've missed this work. :)

So, let's get down to business!

This is the Kleancolor Metallics Collection!

Luxecoat Swatches!

Fun little Artsy-Fartsy InstaGram pic! xD

Hey lovelies!
I'm sure by now you've heard of the new vegan polish brand Luxecoat, and today I have swatches of three of their pretty polishes to show you! :)

Remember my zebra-print acrylics? Well, a few weeks ago Luxecoat was having a contest on their InstaGram page, caled the LuxecoatStyle contest, and I entered them in it. And lucky me, I was one of the winners! =D

So this past Friday, my prize package arrived, with these three beauties inside!

They sent me Red Hot, Goldie, and Mint Chip

(Quick apology for the staining on my cuticles, that was completely my own fault because I've been a tad neglectful to them lately, and I think really any pigmented polish would stain them that way, since they're so dry and cracked. Icky! Tsktsk, myself. LOL)
First up, Red Hot
This is probably the perfect red for me, and I usually don't like red polish. But I would describe this as the perfect cherry red color!
Red Hot is a super bright Cherry Red creme. I was really impressed by the formula, it was thin for a creme, but not too thin. It's opaque in two coats, and dries with a nice shine to it even without top-coat! It also dries so fast! They're not kidding with that "quick drying" label! :)
There was a tiny bit of staining on the drier parts of my nails, but nothing that a little acetone and a good buffing wouldn't take away. I would recommend a base coat for this reason, but really it's nothing unexpected for such a pigmented polish, and I would recommend using a base coat for any red polish anyways. :)

Next up, Goldie
Goldie is a gorgeous gold shimmer. My camera didn't even fully capture just how shimmery this one is, actually had trouble focusing on it because its so sparkly! :)
This one took 3 thin coats to be opaque, but the layers dry super fast so it's not a problem. It dries with a nice foil finish, and the formula is really nice. I'm in love with the shimmer in this one!

Last up is my favorite of the three, Mint Chip! Not gonna lie, I saw this one on their website and was suuuper hoping it would be one of the ones they sent me, and I was so excited when I opened the box and saw it!
Mint Chip is a beautiful mint blue/green creme. It has the same great formula as Red Hot, not too thick and not too thin. It's opaque in two coats, dries super fast, and dries with that nice shine even minus top-coat. I looove this color, it's absolutely stunning and one of my favorite colors! :)

Overall, I was super-duper impressed with Luxecoat! The formulas are great, the colors are gorgeous, and they dry in almost no time at all! I love that they're DPB free and vegan too, that always scores extra points with me! I'm officially a big fan now! :)

So thank you so much to Luxecoat for choosing me as a winner, and sending me these beauties! <3

You can check out Luxecoat's website here! :)

Flip/Flop February Day 26: Favorite Polish!

Hi lovies! It's time for Day 26 of Flip/Flop February, only three days left!

So, today's Flip/Flop was A Theme You Missed/Favorite Polish, and amazingly, I actually didn't miss any themes on this one! :) I was kind of all over the please and late alot (sorry again about that lol) but I always caught up, so I didn't miss any! :)

So, obviously I went with favorite polish. This one was a no-brainer! :)

My favorite polish of my whole collection has definitely got to be "Not Like The Movies" from the OPI Katy Perry Collection.

This polish. Is so. COOL!
It's a duo-chrome shimmer, and it changes to soo many different hues!
There are actually some that I wasn't able to capture on camera. In addition to the ones you see, it can also turn this really light silver shade, then in the right light can look close to aqua. Then the green, the yellow-ish brown, dark brown, dark purple, and light purple. It's amazing.
I remember when I first bought it, I was texting the pictures to my sister and she was like "that's the same polish?! NO WAY." It's amazing. If you didn't see it change right in front of you, you wouldn't believe it would be the same polish, but it is! :)

I like how in some of the pictures, you can actually see the color change on some of the nails. Notice on the purple how it's shifting on my index finger to the lighter purple, and how on the yellow it's shifting to the silver on the bottom of my middle and ring fingers.

I love this polish so much, it's my absolute favorite that I've ever owned. It's so distracting when I wear it, especially if I'm out in the sun LOL. I just stare at my nails in a trance. :P

So that's my favorite polish in my collection! What's yours? Let me know in the comments, and leave links if you have pictures! I'd love to see! :)

And of course, don't forget to see what all the other bloggers favorites are! :)

MORE Nail Mail! :D

Hey again lovies! I have even MORE Nail Mail to show you! These came the other day and I love them sooo much!

The only reason I haven't posted until now, is because these literally came on the same day that all the crazy crap was happening with my iPod LOL, so now I'm finally getting caught up posting it all! :)

So I ordered these last weekend. I had been in the market for some nice quality, affordable nail art brushes for awhile now (all my previous nail art had been done the ghetto-fabulous way with make-up brushes, bobby pins, cuticle sticks, pins, whatever I could find LOL) so I was very excited to find out about these.
Quite a few other nail bloggers have blogged about this particular set recommending it, and all of the reviews on it on Amazon were great, and the price was a steeaaal so I bought it! :)

(I just wanna say right now, I'm not at all endorsed by this company, or amazon, I wasn't paid for this review at all, I'm just a very happy customer!! :D)

This is the MASH 15 piece nail art brush kit, it's soo amazing!! You get 15 brushes which includes 2 different sized fan brushes, a dotting tool, an angled brush (there's an important disclaimer on the sales page that is bent because its angled, it is NOT broken), plus all different sized striping brushes, etc. All the brushes come packaged with protective plastic caps so they won't be damaged, and best of all, it comes in this super nice black fold-up case!
All the brushes are very good quality, something that I really love about them is that not only do they vary in sizes, but also in softness. Which is really great because for certain designs its better to have a soft brush, while for others its better to have a firmer brush. I really loved that, I love them so much, I've only used them about three times now but I'm already in love!! xD

I got this for $10.99 plus $5.00 shipping, so it was only about $17 with tax! Such a great deal, and I definitely recommend this if you are in the market for some good quality, affordable brushes. This is the link to the page I bought it from: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005BG02BU?ie=UTF8&force-full-site=1&ref_=aw_bottom_links

As I said, I wasn't endorsed by anyone or paid for this review, I'm just a very satisfied customer, and I definitely recommend this to my fellow nail polish addicts! :)

My Weekend Project! :)

So this weekend, I started a little project. And that project is: getting my workspace organized!

The weekend before last, I put up my old desk to use as a workspace. This weekend, I hung up some shelves on my wall to organize my polish and supplies.

Obviously, it's not totally organized yet (as you can tell from the pictures LOL) but it's a whole lot better than having them all jumbled up in a big make-up box like I did.

I'll post pictures as the organization comes along, I have a few more ideas for making it all pretty and organized! :)

Flip/Flop February Day 15: Stamping/Jelly Sandwich!

Hiii lovies! Grrr, I'm a fail so much LOL. I fell so behind this weekend on this challenge, but I am now back on track, I promise! :)

This is day 15 of the Flip/Flop February Challenge, and our flip/flop was stamping/jelly sandwich.
Of cooouuuurse I went with jelly sandwich! I love me my jelly sammiches! :)

For this jelly sammich I used:
Sephora by OPI - And A Cherry On Top, which is a beautiful red jelly, and
Sephora by OPI - Justa' Pinch Of Glitter, a super pretty gunmetal glitter. :)

Don't forget to check out all the other bloggers manis! :)

Flip/Flop February Day 12: Drips/Matte

Hello once again, lovies! So today is Dy 12 of Flip/Flop February!

Today our flip/flop is drips/matte.
So what did I do? Matte Drips, of course! :D

I love matte, I love drips, and I looove them together!

For this mani I used:
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Twisted Pink
Zoya - Mitzi

Mitzi is the matte in this mani, as you can see, Twisted Pink is not. But I really really loved the colors together, so I went with it! :)

I did 2 coats of Twisted Pink, then added on the Drips of Mitzi, and then for my accent nail I reversed it and did 3 coats of Mitzi and added on the Twisted Pink Drips.

I sooo didn't wanna take this one off! I love pink and green together! :)

Don't forget to go check out all the other bloggers amazing manis!!

Nail Mail! - Zoya Try 3 Free Promo!

So technically, this Nail Mail came yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to write up a post. So I'm a little late, sorry! :p

But I got my first Zoya polishes yesterday! I've seen Zoyas all over and heard how awesome they are, but up until now I never actually ordered from them.
But last week when they had their annual beginning of the year promotion, I finally ordered!
For those of you who missed it, the promotion was their Try 3 Free Promo, where you could pick any 3 polishes (excluding the 2013 collections) and apply the code "ZOYA2013" and it took off the price of the whole order! All you have to pay is the $10 shipping. So at $8 a piece, you're saving $24 dollars! If you do the math, since each polish is $8, it's pretty much like buy one get two free, $2 shipping! Awesome deal! :)

Oh and by the way, can I just say how cute it is that they come in an adorable tiny little box that fits all three?! Too cute! <3

So for my 3 polishes, I got Mitzi, Happi, and Opal!

Mitzi is from the Matte Velvet collection, it's an awesome Lime Green matte polish.
I really wanted to get one of the mattes, and I decided on this one. Well, technically Zoya decided for me because I was going back and forth between Mitzi and Phoebe (the blue matte from the collection) but Phoebe was sold out. So it was an easy choice. ;) LOL

Happi is a beautiful pink/coral duochrome sheer polish!
I was actually browsing around online looking at swatches of different Zoya polishes trying to decide on my 3rd polish, and I came across this color and fell in love with it! It's so pretty and pink and coral, and oh my gosh that shimmer!! This is so perfect for spring and summer, it makes me want warm weather even more than I already do.

And finally, Opal is green/blue fleck effect top-coat.
I actually first fell in love with the fleck effect collection when I saw swatches of them all over Pinterest, and I've wanted them ever since!
I was going back and forth between Opal and Maisie (the blue fleck effect) but I decided on Opal. Opal was the one I originally wanted, but I felt like since I was already getting another green, maybe I should've gotten the blue one (Maisie) but I decided to go with my gut and get Opal. I looked at swatches of both, and it seems like with Maisie it's harder to see the effect unless its over another blue, but with Opal you can see it easily. And in the end I'm glad I decided on Opal, because when it came I realized it has a blue/green duochrome to it anyway! So happy customer here! :)

So that's what I got! Swatches to come on all three of these! ;)

Did you guys do the Zoya promo? Let me know which ones you got in the comments! :)

Sephora by OPI Tinseltown Swatches - Day 2!

Hello, lovelies! :)

It's time for Day 2 of my Sephora by OPI Tinseltown Collection swatches!

Now on to the polish! :D
Here are the next four polishes in this beautiful collection!

First up, we have "And A Cherry On Top."
What can I say about this, gorgeous red jelly, perfect classic red, opaque within 3 coats, and a very nice drying time. Another thing I liked is that there was no staining left on my nails like you often see with highly pigmented reds like these. I didn't even use a base coat (I know, tsktsk!) and there was no staining at all! And that name? LOVE IT!

Next up, "S-Age Is Just A Number." I. LOVE. THIS. SO. MUCH. It's an absolutely gorgeous duo-chrome, and at first glance it seemed to be yet another run-of-the-mill dupe for Chanel's Peridot, but NO. Once you put it on your nails, it is sooo much more than that! It does have a bit of a likeness to Peridot, in the way of the brown/green undertones, but in the right light, you can see brown, gold, green, purple, blue, even a little bit of yellow! I captured it a little bit on my swatch, but my camera was being fussy (big surprise there) so it doesn't do it full justice. I did catch it pretty well in my bottle shot though, especially around the edges you can see the effects that show up on your nails. It almost reminds me of oil. Like, have you ever seen a splotch of car oil on the pavement during the summer when it's really hot and sunny, and it gets these cool duo-chrome ripple effects when the light hits it? That's what this reminds me of LOL. :) LOVE. IT.

Next up, "I Think I Cayenne." This is SO fun. It's a really pretty dark orange shimmer, but what makes this one different from other orange shimmers is that when you look up close, the pieces of glitter aren't just regular old shimmer, they're red! You have to look super closely to see it, (you can really tell during clean-up/removal!) but it's really an orange base with red shimmer. So unique and so pretty, and has a really good formula and drying time. Definitely awesome!

And lastly, we have "Read My Palm."
This is SUCH a pretty color. Anyone who knows me knows I love turquoise-y type colors, so this was automatic love for me. But once it's on your nails, it's even more fun! It's a creme, with a GREAT formula and amazing drying time, and opaque within 2 coats. But the best part is that even though its a creme, it looks different in certain lights. In some lights it can look like a minty green, and in others it can look like a dark turquoise. Definitely love this one too!

So that's it for day 2, make sure to come back tomorrow for the next 4 polishes! :)

Butterfly Nail Art!

So last night I decided to do some fun nail art, and I decided to go with something I've been wanting to try for a long time - butterfly nails! :)

Of course I've seen this beautiful trend all over the nail art community, it's so pretty and actually more simple than it seems!
I sat down thinking it might be pretty difficult, but it was actually simple and easy!

These were soo fun to do, and came out kinda pretty if I do say so myself! :P

I decided rather than just doing plain orange, to use an orange shimmer and a purple shimmer accent nail, just for fun! :)

The polishes I used were:
Orange: Sepora by OPI - I Think I Cayenne
Purple: Sephora by OPI - I Don't Bite
Black: Ulta - Little Black Dress
White: Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
