Quick and Simple Nail Art Tip! (Short Tutorial Video!)

Hi lovelies!

So I had something a little different than this in mind for today's post, but as usual my editing program is being a pain in the acetone LOL.

So, while I'm working out the kinks on that one, (it should be up sometime in the next two days, *knock on wood!*) I made a quick little tutorial video, to show you guys one of my little tricks that I use to save myself the effort of trying to clean my make-up sponges, after using them for nail art.
I get alot more use out of one sponge when I use this trick, and save myself from having to buy them all the time! :)

So here's my tutorial on how to do it!:

If the embed doesn't work for you, you can click this link to view it on my YouTube page

So that's my little tip! Hopefully it helps some of you out!

Let me know, what are some of your favorite nail/make-up tips and tricks? Write them down in the comments! :)

Love you guys, and I hope you're all having a fun Memorial Day Weekend! <3

Swatch & NOTD Featuring "Break A Leg-Warmer!"

Hey lovelies! :)

So today I have a quick little swatch and Nail Of The Day for you! :)

First up is swatches!

This is Sephora by OPI - Break A Leg-Warmer

Break A Leg-Warmer is a super pretty blue-gray creme. It's opaque in two coats, dries quickly, and has a great formula!

You may remember that I swatched this before when I swatched the whole Tinseltown Collection, but since that was back before I got my camera,(boooo, blurry iPod pictures!)  I figured I'd do a little re-swatch with a better picture. :)

So now for our Nail Of The Day!
For today's NOTD I added a coat of Sephora by OPI - Justa' Pinch Of Glitter to my ring and thumb for glitter accent nails! :)

I hope you all had a great weekend! Have a happy Monday! :)

Fun With Holographics, and a Nail Art Contest! :)

Hi lovelies!! :)

Today I'm showing you some pretty holographic polishes, and the nail art I did with them! :)

These holographic beauties are:
Layla Hologram Effects - Mermaid Spell
and
Zoya - Storm.

This all started because Jen's Nail Files  just hit 2k likes (congrats Jen!! :D) and is having a nail art contest to celebrate!
The theme of the contest is to pick a name of one of the polishes from Darling Diva Polishes
, and translate it into nail art!
So for my entry, I chose the name "Blue on Black" and I thought to myself, ooh I should use my blue and black holographic polishes!! :)

So here's what I came up with, holographic Butterfly wings!
I gotta credit my cousin Sarah for this too, when I told her about the contest she suggested doing Butterfly Wings! So thanks Sarah!
You can check out her blog here ! :)

I also did this one, but I wasn't all that happy with how it turned out. I definitely liked the butterfly better, so I submitted that one for the contest. :)

These were supposed to be the interlocking dots design, like this one I did earlier this year. It didn't work out quite so well this time though LOL.
I think it was mostly because my nails are short little nubbins right now, so I didn't have much room to work with.
So, it came out kinda more like an abstract design. Oh well. :p
My cousins husband said it looks like footprints, and now I can't unsee that! LOL :p

Here's the up close of my failure. LOL :p

So make sure to go check out the contest, it's still going and there are going to be 12 winners, So you have a pretty decent chance at winning! 12 people will win a bottle of Darling Diva Polish that was custom designed just for Jen's Nail Files! It ends on Tuesday. I can't wait to see who wins, I'm sure it's gonna be a tough decision for Jen because so far all the entires I've seen are amazing! :)

French Mani Fun!: Zebra Print Acrylics!

Hey lovelies!
So remember how in my last French Mani Fun post I told you how these leopard print acrylics were my favorite set of falsies I've ever painted?
Well uhm, yeah, that's changed now.

Because these have got to be my favorite falsies I've done, my favorite French Mani I've done, and it only comes in a close second for my favorite Mani I've ever done EVER.
(The #1 all-time favesies being this rainbow zebra print mani!

So here they are, sparkly hot pink zebra stripe French falsies!! (Ahh!! :D)

(P.S. Sorry about the excess glitter around my cuticles, I got really excited and didn't bother with cleanup before I started snapping pictures LOL)

For this mani I used:
Kiss Nails - Everlasting French Tip Acrylics
Sephora by OPI - What Aura Gonna Wear?
Sally Hansen - Black Nail Art Pen
Pixel - Pixel Dust
Seche Vite Top-Coat

I also pulled the little Loubitan trick and painted the underside pink too! (I can't wait til my natural nails are long enough to do that again!!):

(Ahem, pay no mind to the fact that you can see my messes un-shaped natural nail on the index finger LOL)

I. LOVE. THESE. :D  !!!

Oh and hey, if you're wondering at all about the process of how I did these, there's a little mini tutorial coming soon, so stay tuned! ;)
